Learning Behavior!

One of the wonderful things about learning is that the knowledge and skills that one person possesses can be passed on to others for them to learn as well. Then, it can all be passed on again.

When a study is conducted, it is meant to be replicated to produce similar results. When a behavior is displayed, it is more or less likely to be observed again, depending on the environment. We have the power to change the environment and shape behavior.

If someone can make a change based on the knowledge they have and the methods they use, then another person can use that same knowledge and those same methods to make similar and significant changes to improve the quality of someone’s life.

Let’s learn. Let’s shape behavior. Let’s improve our lives.

What exactly is a behavior? What is Behaviorism?

A behavior is an observable and measurable movement displayed by a living organism. Behaviorism is a natural science that studies the relationship between behavior and the environment.

The principles and strategies that we use are also used in schools and many other institutions and industries. With guidance, you can obtain the knowledge and tools you need to help your family reach your educational goals.

How can a behavioral approach help me and my family learn?

Behaviorism is a science that has been studied and applied for a very long time. Methods have been validated and strategies are evidence based. Research is constantly being conducted to stay current and continues to support the relationship between behavior and learning or using a behavioral approach to improve socially significant skills.

Is Behaviorism like Psychology?

Behaviorism is a natural science and Psychology is a social science. Some concepts within the sciences are similar but the biggest difference is that Behaviorism studies observable actions while Psychology studies internal thoughts.

I feel like it is difficult for me to learn new things. I have trouble focusing, completing tasks, and remembering. Can that change?

Yes. If there is a plan in place that fits your learning style and if you have the appropriate support, it is possible to make significant improvements.
